Linear VCM is a linear open source VCM made of parts (permanent magnet, steel washer) that are readily available to anyone and an plastic parts printed on a 3D printer.

The actuator specifications are maximum displacement : 10 mm, drive voltage : 3.3 or 5 V, coil resistance : 32 ohm, maximum magnetic force : 2 N.

It used L9110 H-bridge motor driver and WSH136 hall sensor for feedback control.

The downsides are the heavy weight of the drive parts and magnet force is insufficient because it uses only steel washers in the magnetic circuit
